WOW it’s Wisdom Wednesday again! And the worthwhile resource I get to bless you with today is a hugely important and timely message for us in our current culture.

Next week the Common Ground Bible Study about loving others despite our differences and it’s companion devotional - The Friendship Initiative releases!
.

I’m so excited about these resources by author & comedian #amberlyneese_comedian
.

I mean who doesn’t want to learn about such a great topic & get to do a Bible study in such a fun and humorous way!

he kids and I talked about this during our logic lesson this morning.
.

I love teaching them about reasoning and critically thinking through things and how to discern what we should & shouldn’t believe.
.

As we work through our school lessons I’m constantly learning things myself.
.

Like this great but tough reminder today. I know that all of our actions are birthed out of our belief system.
.

And this reminds me to ask myself: why do I believe what I believe in certain situations.
.

Sometimes I get stuck in a rut of negative thinking that comes out as a bad attitude because I’m so sure I’m right about said thing🤷‍♀️
.

And then I remember the words to that song I sang out so confidently only to have someone point out those aren’t the words at all😳
.

💥We don’t know what we don’t know and even some of what we think we know just isn’t so.
.

🤔 And even harder to discern: great things can be the enemy of what is unique to you - the things that only you can do - those things which you are passionate about and specifically gifted for

💛 No one else can love and spend time with my children for me.
.

✍️ No one can write the words of my heart of pages that hopefully bring encouragement to others.
.

🏃‍♀️ No one can run the miles for me or eat the healthy food for my body (or the Reese’s that my body just wants - let’s just be super honest😆)
.

💥 It’s Wisdom Wednesday When I bring you a Worthwhile resource for this Wild adventure we call life💥

✨ And to go right along with our W alliteration Wednesday I’m featuring the wonderful and whimsical Bob Goff!
.

✨ If you’ve yet to be influenced by man you are in for such a treat of positive perspective change in the most light-hearted, funnest (I still don’t understand why this one hasn’t made the dictionary) set your soul on fire for adventure way possible!
.

💥 All of his books are great but Love Does is one I think that everyone should read!
.

✨ This morning Ayden & I did a devotional out of the kid’s version in which he laid out a story about him having eye surgery & through a very long recovery he was only able to “see a little bit more each day.”
.

✨ Then, he related this to our spiritual walk and the things we are hoping, praying and believing for - how we are able to “see just a little bit more each day”
.

3 thoughts I had:

👁 First, we have to look in the right place through a positive lens in order to see.
.

🏃‍♀️ Second, we have to stay the course.
.

💥 Third, most “sudden successes” have actually been accumulating little by little through the right perspective and actions.
.

What little thing can you do today to move in the direction of something you want to see in full bloom in your life? 🌺

Sometimes it’s about accepting grace or giving y

Sometimes it’s about accepting grace or giving yourself grace and move forward differently.

And we can’t move forward effectively looking in the rearview.

as well as part of his life motto😂

Now don’t misunderstand; Ayden is compassionate & loving 🥰
.

But he is a debater at heart, knows it all at ten and above all he is human
.

Some days I can’t say I blame him….. as the art of meshing our human messes together to make beautiful pictures of relationships and harmony is hard at times, to say the least.
.

☀️ As I woke up this morning reflecting on Easter weekend and God’s extravagant love for us that He gave so freely as He made the ultimate sacrifice on Good Friday and performed the greatest of all miracles on Easter morning I thought about Ayden and his favorite shirt.
.

😊I smiled while thinking about the difference in being a human riddled with fallacy, insecurities, hurts, and the best intentions all rolled into one spirited body contrasted, by the perfect Christ who loved us so much that he died for us.
.

I am grateful that God would never subscribe to this t-shirt motto and that He loved us ALL enough to sacrifice His son, giving us the greatest gift 🎁
.

🌸 As the Spring flowers bloom around us I pray that so does the gratitude in our hearts for this gift and along with it the seeds of mercy, grace, love, and kindness towards one another.
.

Most of the time it ALL depends on where my focus is and what my perspective is.

I love the “bring it back into focus” quality of this devotional.

And I don’t want the “plethora of problems” to win the day. Ever.
